The menu offers a good selection of drinks with the highest priced drink being a $11 gold finished milk tea drink. The soft serve was delicious though it is priced at $6 a cone.

A popular boba shop in a popular shopping area, Xin Fu Tang boba is the perfect drink to get while shopping Ximending. As far as boba milk tea goes, XFT is definitely my favorite. The line here can be long, but moves pretty quickly. They advertise a combo with food (fried chicken when I was here) which we tried. Once boiling, put in the knot of pandan leaves and boil for about 10 mins. Remove the pandan leaves and discard. Put the snow fungus, nan xing, bei xing and rock sugar into the pot and boil over medium heat for about 35 mins. Add in the papaya, red dates and wolfberries and continue to boil for another 15 mins. This is the warm-hearted, true story of Xing Fu Tang's founder. "I was brought up by my grandparents in Chiayi. I still remember they loved me and had my best interests at heart when they cooked stir-fried brown sugar for me as a traditional snack.

Xing Fu Tang in Utah is an over-hyped establishment that failed to live up to its reputation. While they offer some interesting Asian drinks like red bean milk and dalgona coffee, these options alone do not justify a visit. The gold foil drink is nothing more than a novelty item, and the boba and tea offerings fall short of the mark.
